House, in landmark vote, OKs ban on late abortions; Senate, White House rebuff likely

The U.S. House of Representatives has approved landmark legislation that would prohibit abortions during the last half of pregnancy based on evidence an unborn child feels pain by 20 weeks after fertilization.
